Dr. Matthew Eckermann, out of Peak Pain and Anesthesia, received his MD at the University of Texas Tech School of Medicine where he studied at the Pain Management Institute at Texas Tech. He subsequently spent several years in general surgery residency at the the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Eckermann then completed his anesthesiology residency at the University of Missouri where he served as academic faculty and specialized in ultrasound guided regional anesthesia for acute pain management.

He specializes in comprehensive interdisciplinary pain management including spinal injections, spinal cord stimulation therapy, radio frequency ablation, platelet rich plasma (PRP) and stem cell therapies. Dr. Eckermann believes in a wholistic comprehensive approach to pain management treating the entire patient including physical therapy, injection therapy, and behavioral therapy.
